Privacy, in plain English

Flowdrome runs on your machines. Your workflows, your credentials, and the data flowing through them stay there — they are never sent to us. This page lists exactly what does reach us, exactly what is in it, and who else touches it. No vague "we may collect" language.

The short version

What never leaves your machine

Flowdrome is self-hosted. The following stay on your own infrastructure and are never transmitted to us — we have no way to see them:

The database that holds all of this is encrypted on disk, so it can't be read by copying the file off the machine either.

What reaches us

Three things, and only these:

1. License check-ins

A licensed box calls home on a timer so we can keep your license valid and show you your own fleet. The exact contents are in the next section. An unlicensed (Free) box does not check in at all.

2. Your account & purchase

When you buy a license you provide an email address. The purchase itself is handled by our payment processor, which records what you bought, when, and the billing details it needs to charge you and handle tax. We store the email and a reference to the purchase; we do not store your card number or bank details — the processor does.

3. Anything you send us

If you submit a pack to the community, we keep the pack you submit and the email you verify with. If you contact support, we keep what you send. That's you choosing to send it.

Exactly what a check-in contains

When a licensed box checks in, this is the complete list of what it sends — there is nothing hidden underneath it:

FieldWhat it is
Install idA random identifier minted once on the box (e.g. host_7ae…). It is not your name, your machine's name, or a hardware fingerprint.
VersionThe Flowdrome version the box is running (e.g. 2.12.0).
Deployed countA number — how many workflows are deployed. Not their names, not their contents.
TimestampWhen the check-in happened.

We do not record your IP address, and there is no telemetry beyond this. We use it to enforce your plan's limits, show you which of your boxes are online and on what version, and nothing else.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of processors to run the website and licensing. They handle data on our behalf; we don't sell anything to anyone.

What we never do

Keeping & deleting

We keep your account email and purchase reference for as long as you have a license, plus what we're required to retain for tax and accounting. Check-in records are kept so your fleet view and version history work. If you cancel, your box stops checking in. To have your account data removed, contact us and we'll delete what we're not legally required to keep.
